In fact, they wrote
or co-wrote 12 of the 14 songs that grace their debut
album.
The two covers are already popular with millions of
fans around the world. Earlier this year, they recorded
"Do You Believe In Magic," for the Disney Channel movie,
Now You See It. Their version of "Walking On Sunshine" was
prominently used in the smash summer film, Herbie Fully
Loaded. Videos of both songs have become two of the
top-requested songs on the Disney Channel all year long.
Their recording
resume also includes songs for the Platinum-selling Disney
Jingle Jams ("Jingle Bell Rock") and Disneymania III ("Zippidy
Do Dah"). Naturally, music and TV industry and fan
magazines have gravitated towards the duo, deluging them
with requests for interviews, photo shoots and
appearances. Apparently, they see in Aly & AJ what their
burgeoning fan base already knows: These sisters are
destined for stardom. As more people become exposed to
their real live talents, it's only a time before Aly & AJ
become household words - in the best sense of the
expression.
AJ has been seen regularly over the past two seasons on the CBS drama The Guardian, playing Dabney Coleman’s foster daughter. Other TV credits include a two-season recurring role on the Fox-TV comedy Oliver Beene, and roles on the acclaimed HBO drama Six Feet Under and WB’s Birds of Prey. Soap opera enthusiasts will also recognize her as “Ashley B.” on the longtime smash General Hospital.
